VFX Mesh Builder HDA for Unreal/Unity
Utility Mesh Builder tool for Real-time VFX artists.
Need to quickly create a disc/sweep or other meshes with vertex colors? Simply select your shape, customize it and bake it into your scene in a matter of seconds.
The tool is in HDA format (Houdini Engine which is a free plugin for Unity and Unreal Engine, that allows us to use Houdini procedural graphs to perform tools inside the Game Engine editor) and should work with pretty much any version.
There are a number of options to choose from when creating your mesh, such as:
- Mesh Type
- Scale, Size and Position
- Vertex Color Gradient
- UV projection
- Mesh Density
- Custom Curve profile for certain meshes
- Custom Curve input for sweeps
- Centering objects pivot
- etc.
The HDA is pretty lightweight and easy to work with. If you find you like it and are missing any shapes presets, additional features, feel free to message me and I will happily assist and add more functionality.
